How to make
the study of the King James Version Bible easier.
Now
you can read the King James Bible without the archaic and outdated
words that bring confusion and frustration to the art and science of
Bible Study.
We have two
options for you.
One
option is to get the King James Bible
Dictionary. Each of those old-fashioned words are defined
with an example from Scripture. When you read the Bible and look up
those hard-to-understand words, after awhile, you can remember how
those odd words are used in the King James Bible.
For
example,
Scripture states that God does not tempt anyone, but in the Lord's
prayer, Jesus says we are to ask our Father not to lead us in
temptation. This implies that God tempts us unless we ask him not to!
But when
you learn
that the word "tempt" and "temptation" can also mean "trial" or "test,"
the apparent contradiction is cleared up.
You will
need a King
James Bible Dictionary to help you understand the King
James Bible.
Note: We now offer Old Christian Bible
Study Books on 2 Data CDs that includes a King James Bible dictionary. (A King James Bible dictionary is
available to read
online.)
Another
option is to get a King James Bible that had the
outdated words changed into modern words. We have a New Testament of
one: The Clarified King James New Testament Bible.
This Bible
is
theologically identical to the authoritative King James Bible (KJV),
but it is easier to understand because the language has been somewhat
updated to reflect current usage.
